Pete was my dad and he never talked about his experiences. My Dad and Mom have both passed I remember so many things about my Dad during the war. One time he came home on leave in May and my teacher told me to go home and spend the rest of the school year with my Dad. I enlisted in the Navy in 1954 and spent 20 years, 18 of which was aboard submarines. This site has really brought back wonderful memories. Thanks, Jim Aitchison
